There are a variety of different natural remedies I have tried to relieve my eczema, one of them including the keto diet. The ketogenic diet also known as the keto diet is a diet consisting of high fat content, protein, and low carbohydrate intake. The health benefits of the keto diet are amazing especially if you are looking to lose weight or to maintain a healthier lifestyle.
Starting the keto diet, I mostly ate shrimp, seafood, eggs, and low-carb tortilla chips. Every day for about a month, I just made my keto diet shrimp fajitas. After about a month of eating the same meal over and over again, I decided to venture out and start trying some new recipes. Some of my favorites included chaffles, keto pizza, and lettuce wraps. After a few months, my body started to not only heal, but it started to feel better too. I noticed that I wouldn’t be as sleepy as I typically was when I wasn’t on the diet and that I also had a lot more energy.
I would recommend the keto diet to anyone interested in it. My body felt the best during the months that I was on this diet, but I had to stop it due to my heavy allergies. My allergies include a wide range of foods, but my biggest one is dairy. With the keto diet being so heavy on fat content which includes cream, butter, cheese, and yogurt, it made my options really limited to what foods I could eat. Above, I mentioned that I ate chaffles and keto pizza, which are very cheese heavy, of course they were very healthy, but it came at the cost of my stomach being in constant pain and me getting flare ups too. Ultimately, I stopped the keto diet after a couple of months, but would definitely say that the diet is a good remedy for those looking to feel better (more energy, less sleep) and also those that have allergies.
